
AC Schnitzer takes care of the 2012 BMW 650i Convertible
We already know that the German specialists from AC Schnitzer have a big appetite for models bearing the BMW badge, so we have no reason to be surprised that the tuners picked a new model from the range and improved it. This time, we talk about the new BMW 6 Series generation, the prepared model following to debut later this month at the Frankfurt Motor Show.

To be more precise, AC Schnitzer picked the BMW 650i Convertible and improved its styling but also the performance figures. The standard model packs a 4.4-liter V8 developing 400 horsepower, enough for an acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 4,9 seconds.

According to the tuning house, the revised model gets an optimized ECU unit along other minor improvements able to provide a total of 540 horsepower. This means a significant power boost which will improve the acceleration time by 0,6 seconds and will increase the top speed to 310 km/h.

There are some styling tweaks as well, we talk about a chromed front grille, new 21-inch alloy wheels, a front spoiler and also a sports steering wheel, special floor mats and matte grey trim at the interior.
