2016 NAIAS: 2016 BMW X4 M40i Officially Introduced

Read Time:1 Minute, 50 Second

The 2016 NAIAS has just opened its gates, with BMW already presenting two exquisite and long-expected models, the brand new M 2 Coupe and the X4 M40i SAC, which is the X6`s little sibling in terms of design and powertrain under the hood.

The 2016 BMW X4 M40i is set to be a genuine flagship, thanks to its exclusive M design and well-defined interior. We can thus depict the aggressive lines in the grey air intakes, grey kidney grille strives and door mirror caps, along with the custom rear diffuser with two chrome-black tailpipes or the distinctive 20-inch double-spoke M light-alloy wheels.

There are also some standout features that makes it different from the standard X4, like the Adaptive Dampers, the Performance Control system, updated sports suspension system with new lowering springs and stabilizers, as well as the xDrive system with rear-wheel drive configurations.

The M signature is also present inside the cabin, on the leather steering wheel, door sills, sports seats or the gear shift lever.

If we pop up the hood, we get the chance of seeing a freshly updated 3.0-liter six-cylinder engine, which now delivers 54 horsepower more than the present version. The overall power stands at 350 ponies and 465 Nm of torque, enough to reach 100 km/h in just 4.9 seconds, at a topping of 250 km/h.

The all-new BMW X4 M40i will hit dealerships in spring, the SAC being set from 65,000 euros in Germany, while in the United States, prices start from 57,800 dollars, plus the 995 dollar destination fees.
