BMW sells Husqvarna Motorcycles to Pierer Industrie AG

The Germans at BMW officially announced that Husqvarna Motorcycles will be sold to Pierer Industrie AG, a company led by Stefan Pierer, actual CEO at KTM. The company says that is realigning its BMW Motorrad business.
To be more specific, BMW wants to focus on producing eco-friendly vehicles, a strategy called e-mobility.
One of the first upcoming models from BMW Motorrad will be the C Evolution scooter, an electric bike revealed in a concept form last year. The production variant of the electric scooter will go on sale next year.
Even the German company will sell the Husqvarna Motorcycles, they plan to build up on BMW Motorrad’s success, the latter managing to achieve a new sales record last year.
First models part of the urban mobility segment, namely the C 650 GT and C 600 Sport scooters, were revealed in 2012. Any purchase pricing or other details for the Husqvarna Motorcycles is very likely to remain secret.
