VIDEO: BMW reveals the 1 Series facelift E82/E88 ready for Detroit

The Detroit Auto Show scheduled to start early next year will see the debut of the revised versions of BMW 1 Series. The Germans from BMW decided to reveal the facelift version of the current 1 Series generation, however, just the convertible (E88) and coupe (E82) versions benefiting from the minor upgrades.

At a glance we can observe the new front and rear revised optical blocks with LED lights while several new 17 and 18 inch alloy rims will be available. The Germans announced two more color options (Vermilion Red and Marrakesh Brown) to be available for the facelifted versions. A new front bumper is available too outside together with an integrated front splitter able to improve the drag coefficient, thus, to slightly improve the model’s performance.

The interior gets few touches too, being available new features such as new color options, chromed edges for the dashboard, a new button for the Dynamics Stability Control system but also a new sports steering wheel with shift paddles. The BMW 1 Series facelift will go on sale in March 2011.
