BMW Motorrad Motorsport Offers Training For Technicians
BMW is actively involving in the national motorcycle racing competitions. They started a program in which the German brand’s employees are trained to give technical support to the private teams and customers in the national competitions.
BMW decided to take this step in order to help its employees to be better trained for the typical situations. It involves dealers, technicians and BMW riders worldwide, but the final beneficiary will be the BMW Motorrad customers, especially the BMW S 1000 RR owners. They will take advantage over the better-prepared technicians, which are ready to offer them full support.
For two days, employees from Austria, Germany, Great Britain, Italy, Netherlands, Sweden and US have been grouped in 15 people to be trained in ideal conditions. At the Munich’s Trading Academy, the BMW experts presented in the most detailed form the data about the BMW S 1000 RR motorcycle, explained its technology and revealed all the software details.
Not only the model’s data have been discussed, but also the setup methods and calibrations, for best behavior of the chassis, suspensions and engine in different conditions. And we’re not talking only about racing environment, where specifically setups need to be made for different tracks, temperatures and humidity conditions, but also for obtaining the desired degree of comfort or sportiness on the streets. However, this is only a part of the BMW plan to support the national dealers. It is completed by other workshops in different parts of the world: Thailand, South Africa and Australia.
