2017 Alpina B7 Might Be Unveiled at 2016 Geneva Motor Show
The 2016 Geneva Motor Show is one of the most important auto events in the world and a lot of carmakers are already preparing their latest projects.
The hardcore division from BMW, Alpina, didn’t waste any time and also prepared the 2017 B7 model for the event, as a confirmation of what Alpina CEO stated a couple of days ago: the B7 is due to come “soon”.
We have already caught the 2017 Alpina B7 on shots, the model being based on the high-end 7-Series from BMW, and coming with modified bespoke front bumper or the trunk-mounted spoiler.
Additional sports features refer to the high-performance wheels or custom dual-exhaust, while the interior comes with the finest touches, like revised instrument cluster, new steering wheel and a few more sporty tweaks.
Under the hood, the 2017 Alpina B7 will use a 4.4-liter TwinPower Turbo V8 engine, also found on the BMW 750i, but developing a whopping 600 horsepower and 800 Nm of torque. This is quite significant than the previous 540 horsepower and 729 Nm of torque.
The previous B7 takes only 4.3 seconds to reach 100 km/h, but recent rumors state that the 2017 edition will be capable to run the same distance in around 4.0 seconds, which is quite impressive. We should expect the model featuring an AWD system or a RWD configuration.
