BMW M3 & M4 with Competition Package – Prices and Details Confirmed
A couple of days ago, the M`s chief Frank van Meel, confirmed that the future BMW M3 Sedan, M4 Coupe and M4 Convertible would be equipped with the company`s special Competition Package.
Now, the news are back and we have the prices and the details for the Competition Package, which can be ordered not only for the new cars, but also for the existing ones.
In case you own one of the aforementioned models or want to buy a new one, you should then now that the Competition Package for the BMW M3 Sedan and BMW M4 Coupe costs $5,500, while for the M4 Convertible, the price is set at $5,500.
For that money, you will get plenty of visual tweaks and fine goodies inside, as well as a software upgrade under the hood.
Thus, the BMW M3 or BMW M4 will look distinctive with the high-gloss Shadow Line exterior with gloss black kidney grille, adding the M sports exhaust system with black chrome tailpipes, complemented by the 20-inch lightweight alloy wheels with high-performance rubbers.
Inside, all models will come with limited changes, like the M sports seats or the M-striped seat belts.
From a mechanical point of view, the Competition Package features the Adaptive M Suspension with fresh springs, dampers, or anti-roll bars. The safety features refer to the Active M Differential, new Dynamic Stability Control System, or the three different driving models, like Comfort, Sport and Sport+.
As already previewed, the Competition Pack adds up around 20 horsepower under the hood as well, the 3.0-liter TwinPower Turbo inline flat-six engine now churning out 450 horsepower, with a 0.1 seconds quicker response from 0 to 100 km/h.
