BMW M235i Convertible Revealed with the Real Deal
After the BMW M235i Convertible was shown in spy photos, L`Automobile, the famous French magazine has come up with what seems to be the authentic BMW Convertible.
As seen in the image, the BMW M235i Convertible comes with a soft top, the one also seen on the 1-Series. The car will be a little bit heavier because of the roof retracting mechanism.
Under the hood, the BMW M23i Convertible sports a 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged straight-six unit, which develops 320 horsepower.
The power enables the M23i Convertible reach the 0 to 100 km/h sprint in around 5 seconds, which is 0.1 or 0.2 seconds slower than the coupe.
Reports also state that there will be a diesel model enhanced as well, the 220d Cabrio and two other petrol versions, the 228i Cabriolet and the 220i Cabriolet.
Additionally, as previously stated, the BMW is also in plans of developing an M2 Coupe that would develop 380 horsepower, with the same 3.0-liter under the hood like the M23i Convertible.
Other than that, we don’t know yet when the car will hit the marker, but perhaps it might be somewhere in 2016.
