New BMW X6 M spied on the Nurburgring
Here are some spy photos with the M version of the BMW X6 while the German engineers were testing the model which is supposed to pack a new diesel engine. Few days ago, Brian Watts, BMW M Manager confirmed that the German company is looking forward to introduce a diesel engine in the range of the X6 M. We got no confirmation that the model in these photos is actually a diesel-powered X6 but judging by the new hood, we think that it might be.

As you can see, the new bonnet is slightly camouflaged and comes with three air vents which help the engine to cool better.
If this prototype is powered by a diesel engine, there is most likely to be a reworked version of the 3.0-liter straight-six engine rumored to develop around 500 horsepower and 815 Nm of torque.

The unit in question uses three turbochargers and should also be available with the new M5 as we recently talked about a diesel variant of that model as well. These are all the details available for now, but as soon as we get further information we will let you know.
