BMW Plans Official Introduction of One-off i8 Protonic Dark Silver Edition at 2016 Paris Motor Show
The 2016 Paris Motor Show is opening its gates starting 29th of September and the BMW German based carmaker wouldn’t have missed the important event without launching, alongside its latest high-end models, the limited BMW i8 Protonic Dark Silver Edition.
The carmaker has officially confirmed its intention of unveiling the model in Paris, but has given little details with the car`s main insight, but it is a good thing we rely on in- or outside sources that would give away some basic information.
The BWM i8 will be seen at the event not wearing the convention BMW Individual color, instead it will come with the Protonic Dark Silver wrapping, which will set it aside the other stock versions. It is actually the sibling of the Protonic Red Edition model, unveiled a couple of months back, which indicates that we are dealing with a limited number of models.
For an untrained eye, the BMW i8 Protonic Dark Silver Edition might be just a stock plug-in hybrid with just a special wrap, but for a real connoisseur, the model comes with some slight visuals updates. We are dealing here with the Black Belt, slightly revised front and rear bumpers and a few more.
As for the interior, we are not sure yet if the model will also come with special features, but we should be able to find out more at the 2016 Paris Motor Show.
In the engine department, we have reasons to believe that the plug-in hybrid will come with the same hybrid version, consisting of a 1.5-liter turbocharged three-cylinder engine and an electric motor, with an overall of 362 horsepower.
