BMW X4 M40i Reportedly Announced for 2016 NAIAS, Detroit
The debates over the arrival of the BMW X4 M40i are still making the front pages of a lot of online auto publications, and after seeing the model in spy shots wearing a body camouflage, a recent report from Autocar magazine is also announcing the upcoming X4 M40i for a debut at the 2016 NAIAS, in Detroit.
Surely that the carmaker has not confirmed yet an official unveiling of the new BMW X4 M40i, but the report is also announcing some performance details with the model, before going live in Detroit.
Thus, the BMW X4 M40i would pack a 3.0-liter TwinPower Turbo six-cylinder unit, with 350 horsepower, and hooked to an 8-speed automatic transmission, sending the power to all wheels. This would be enough to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.0 seconds, at a topping of 350 km/h.
Apart the impressive figures under the hood, the BMW X4 M40i is also rumored to pack some styling cues, meaning that there would be a chance of seeing it with an M Sport Package at the exterior, as well as inside. The M badge would also fit in the cabin, along with other M goodies, like the new suspension system or the M Sport features. More details will be announced perhaps this autumn, as a preview of the BMW X4 M40i before its official debut in Detroit!
