
2014 Paris Motor Show: BMW 2-Series Convertible Goes Official
The BMW German based luxury automaker has pulled the wraps off the 2-Series Convertible version, which is the official replacement of the former 1-Series Convertible.
The BMW 2-Series Convertible will pack the same fabric roof as the 1-Series Convertible, as it will take around 20 seconds to open and close, coming available in three shades, the black, anthracite with silver and Brown with silver.

The soft top roof has been also insulated, to decrease the noise inside the cabin, reaching thus 5 dB at the front and 7 dB at the rear.

Concerning the power under the hood, a wide range of engines will equip the BMW 1-Series Convertible, starting with the base 220i petrol, developing 184 horsepower and 270 Nm of torque, from churned from a 2.0-liter four-cylinder unit.

In case you want more power, you can fit the 228i version, which would eventually develop 245 horsepower and 350 Nm of torque, when hooked to the xDrive all-wheel drive layout.
The diesel options concern a 2.0-liter inline four-cylinder, with 190 horsepower and 400 Nm of torque, while the top-ragging 3.0-liter inline-six TwinPower Turbo unit outputs a total of 326 horses and 450 Nm of torque.
