BMW struggles to keep up with i3 demand

The small BMW i3 is already available pretty much everywhere, and it managed to become a great success for the German car maker.

Right now, the US market is under-supplied as demand has greatly exceeded expectations.

To remedy this situation, BMW is planning to step up its production in order to make sure the market is well supplied with the small electric city car. Right now, there are 70 units produced daily for the States, and in order to make up for the gap, BMW is planning to increase those numbers to 100 units daily.

The US is shaping up to become the largest markets for the BMW i3, despite the $41.350 price tag each vehicle bears. And that is just for the entry level, no optional trims. All of this is good news for BMW, as the BMW i3 was seen as a money dumb due to all the new tech, and failure was not a good option.
