BMW might not introduce the 2 Series Active Tourer to the US until 2016
In truth, ever since BMW announced the 2 Series Active Tourer, many were in disbelief such a vehicle would actually see the light of day.
And not because of the styling, which is a tad bland for BMW, even if it isn’t outright ugly.

The main reason behind most of the hatred towards the model comes from its option concerning the drive system. In all the history of BMW, the 2 Series Active Tourer will be first ever vehicle that will be sporting a forward wheel drive system.
But despite all of the hate surging from the more hardcore fans of BMW, with the 2 Series Active Tourer making its live appearance at the Geneva Auto Show, a certain niche became interested in the vehicle. After all, it is a BMW quality MPV, and a lot of people would jump at the occasion to purchase one.

The bad thing about all this seems to be the reluctance of the German car maker to release the 2 Series Active Tourer on the US market sooner than 2016. A reason was not given for this move, but more details are sure to arise soon.
