2014 BMW i3`s Official Launch in Sofia
After being on sale in Europe last November, the BMW`s first electric car has now received its launch in Sofia, Bulgaria. This March, the car will have its go ahead in the US as well.
Along with the launch of the i3 in Sofia, the official ordering guide is available for all the US costumers. The basic price of the 2014 BMW i3 starts at $41,350 and all of you looking for the i3 Rex (Range Extender) will have to shell out $45,200.
At the exterior, the Arravani Grey and Capparis White colors are standard, but if you want some special metallic colors like Ionic Silver, Laurel Grey, Andesite Silver or Solar Orange, you will pay an extra $550.
We have talked already about the i3`s electric drivetrain generating 125kW and 170 hp with a torque of 250 Newton meters, which is available for the standard version.
The BMW i3 goes from 0 to 60 km/h in just 3.7 seconds and in only 7.2 seconds from 0 to 100 km/h. With a top speed limited at 150 km/h, the US drivers will not have to worry about any efficiency reasons.
