First details and photos on the new Alpina B5 BiTurbo
It’s true it’s been a while since we heard last time about the people from Alpina and most probably this is why they thought that the upcoming Geneva Motor Show that is just about to start is a great ocassion to display a new model, based of course on a vehicle within BMW’s range.
Being a car manufacturer not just an aftermarket tuner, Alpina decided to give some fine improvements to the new BMW 5 Series Touring (F11). Under the hood we find the 4.4-liter V8 twin-turbo propeller developing 507 horsepower and 700 Nm of torque with a sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in about five seconds and a top speed exceeding 300 km/h.
To finish with the technical details we have to tell you that the V8 unit is coupled to a ZF eight-speed automatic gearbox. The exterior couldn’t be ignored by the Germans from Alpina, thus, a number of aesthetic touches are available too.
Choosing the Alpina B5 BiTurbo instead of the new 5 Series Touring you will get a quad-pipe exhaust system, a revised front bumper with Alpina’s logo, new Alpina huge wheels but also an aerodynamic kit able to improve the appearance.
