The Germans from G-Power developed the fastest vehicle using LPG, named M5 Hurricane GS based on the E60 generation. G-Power’s BMW M5 Hurricane GS defeated the top speed of the BMW E92 GP3.10 GAS Powered, a model tuned by AC Schnitzer, using the same LPG fuel but able to reach a top speed of 318 km/h.
The new M5 Hurricane GS is able to achieve a top speed of 333 km/h being now the fastest LPG vehicle. Under the bonnet the modified 5.0-liter V10 engine is able to develop 650 horsepower and 650 Nm of torque. In order to reach the performance mentioned above, BMW M5’s engine suffered few modifications such as a new water-cooled intercooler, a revised ECU unit and two new compressors.
According to the German tuner, thanks to the new LPG system, the CO2 emissions have been decreased by 15%. Officially, the BMW M5 Hurricane GS developed by G-Power is the fastest vehicle using LPG while the kit comes with a price of 33,571 euros.
