The BMW`s first hybrid supercar, the BMW i8, has been recently seen wearing the colors of the famous British designer for luxury cars, Richard James.

The BMW i8 signed by Richard James was after displayed at the LCM Show, revealing the model in the bright and exotic colors, a job which was carried out at Bracknell, BMW UK.

To go back, the BMW i8 was first unveiled last year, being manufactured at the company`s plant in Leipzig, Germany and coming with a two-door body coupe style.

The BMW i8 is quite revolutionary in terms of performance, as it packs a conventional 1.5-liter turbocharged inline three-cylinder engine, backed up by an electric motor. The overall power it produces stands at 357 horsepower and 570 Nm of torque, which makes the hybrid sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.4 seconds, at a top speed of 250 km/h.

The BMW i8 was also voted the Car of the Year, by Top Gear auto magazine and is the direct competitor of other powerful hybrids like the Porsche 918 Spyder, McLaren P1 or the Ferrari LaFerrari.
