Australia: BMW M3 & M4 Competition – Prices Released
BMW Australia recently announced the price tags for the Competition versions of this year`s BMW M3 Sedan and BMW M4 Coupe, all models entering the market this month.
The BMW M3 Competition Sedan can be had from $114,900, while the M4 Competition Coupe can be yours for at least $154,900. In case you are too hot and want to choose something more comfy, then you can also choose the M4 Competition Convertible, now available at $165,900.
The BMW Competition packages add more standout features on all versions, starting with the BMW Individual Shadow Line trim and continuing with the 20-inch M light alloy wheels with machine-polished star-spoke design. They are also wrapped in 265/30/R20 and 285/30 R20 front and rear rubbers.
Other modifications also include the new Active M Differential, updated springs and dampers, anti-roll bars or custom driving modes settings. New features also comprises the cabin, now featuring M leather-wrapped seats for all versions.
Performance wise, the all-new BMW M3 and M4 Competition models also come with improved performance, looking at 14 kilowatts more, for a total of 331 kW. The torque is still clocked at 550 Nm of torque. The engines are hooked to three choices of transmissions: a six-speed manual, seven-speeder and dual-clutch automatic.
The first one allows a sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in a good 4.2 seconds, with M4 Convertible falling behind with 4.5 seconds. On the other hand, with the M-Dual Clutch gearbox, the same distance is run in just 4.0 seconds in the first two and 4.3 seconds in the Convertible version.
