Video: 2016 BMW M2 Coupe Tested on the Salzburgring
The newly unveiled 2016 BMW M2 Coupe is popping up in our news again, the model being showcased in a new video while performing some tests on the Salzburgring race track.
As you can see in the video below, the all-new M2 is being driven by race driver Augusto Farfus, who is testing the car`s performance and stability on the track.
As a reminder, the 2016 BMW M2 Coupe was unveiled a couple of weeks back, being the newest model from the carmaker`s lineup. It is based on the 2-Series Coupe and is adorned with a lot of body parts from BMW`s M Division. The cabin is also wearing the M signature on the sports seats, dashboard or door sills.
Under the hood, the 2016 BMW M2 Coupe is packing a 3.0-liter M TwinPower Turbo unit, with 370 horsepower and 465 Nm of torque, which literally places it near the M3 or M4. The model sprints from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.5 seconds with the six-speed manual transmission, and 4.3 seconds with the new seven-speed M DCT. The topping is electronically limited at 250 km/h.
