2016 BMW X1 Launched in First Adds in the U.S.
The recently launched 2016 BMW X1 is making a remarkable come-back in the United States, as the model was recently previewed in the first clips, which are approaching some interesting themes that showcase the real identity of the new X1.
Even from the start, we might find these videos extremely amusing, especially the first one called “Enemy Territory”, which is showing a kind-of-a USC Trojans mascot pulling over his X1 for some tire pressure issues. One cannot describe the real sensation that the videos are given, so you`d better watch them for yourselves below.
As a reminder, the 2016 BMW X1 is standing on the company`s UKL platform, the same used on the 2-Series Active Tourer, which basically means a front-wheel drive configuration, letting room for more powerful and higher-performance engines.
In the engine department, the 2016 BMW X1 is packing a wide array of engines, like the newly introduced 1.5-liter three- and 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinders.
Some of the engines have been also highlighted, such as the 2.0-liter three-cylinder fitted on the sDrive20i (FWD), and xDrive20i (AWD), with 189 horsepower and 280 Nm of torque, while the xDrive25i will output 228 horsepower and 350 Nm of torque.
The diesels received the sDrive18d, fitted with the 2.0-liter turbocharged unit, developing 148 horsepower and 330 Nm of torque, the xDrive20d (AWD), with 187 horsepower and 400 Nm of torque, or the xDrive25d, outputting 228 horsepower and 450 Nm of torque.
