BMW is preparing an interesting fleet for the upcoming 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show, which will open its gates next week. Amongst the latest flagships, the 3-Series 330e plug-in hybrid is also facing its official debut.
The BMW 3-Series 330e plug-in hybrid is based on the 3-Series sedan and just like the 2-Series 225xe plug-in hybrid, is announced with quite impressive performance figures for a hybrid version.
We are looking here at a 2.0-liter petrol burner, with 184 horsepower, while the electric motor produces an additional 88 horsepower, sending it to the front wheels.
With the overall 252 horsepower and 420 Nm of torque, the BMW 3-Series 330e plug-in hybrid is capable of sprinting from 0 to 100 km/h in a good 6.1 seconds, at a topping of 225 km/h.
In terms of fuel efficiency, the BMW 3-Series 330e plug-in hybrid runs just 1.9-2.1 liters per each 100 km, while the CO2 emissions are rated at 44-49 g/km. On the other hand, the plug-in hybrid also comes with a 40 km mile range and a total range of 600 km.
