2016 BMW 225xe Plug-in Hybrid Completes 2-Series Active Tourer Lineup
The 2016 BMW 225xe plug-in hybrid was finally launched a couple of days ago, the model completing the 2-Series Active Tourer lineup.
We will definitely see the 2016 BMW 225xe plug-in hybrid at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show next week, but meanwhile, let`s gave a look at what the model has to offer in terms of powertrain under the hood.
The 2016 BMW 225xe plug-in hybrid is impressive in terms of performance, the model packing a 1.5-liter TwinPower Turbo three-cylinder unit, along with an electric motor and a 7.7 kWh battery pack. The overall power stands at 224 horsepower 385 Nm of torque.
All the power can be sent to the front-, rear- and to all wheels. The 2016 BMW 225xe plug-in hybrid is capable of reaching 0 to 100 km/h in 6.7 seconds, at a topping of 202 km/h. Apart the good performance, the model is also coming with excellent figures in terms of fuel consumption, meaning just 2.0-2.1L for every 100 km.
