BMW i8 on HRE Wheels
BMW i8 has recently won the 2015 Engine of the Year Award, the model highlighting the extraordinary and advanced piece of German engineering in terms of performance under the hood. Add up the futuristic and evolutionary design language and you have a complete plug-in hybrid supercar.
But that didn’t stop different aftermarket shops, especially from the wheeling industry, to carry out some upgrades to the car, not from a body styling perspective, the model receiving new sets of wheels, which add up more stance and greater looks.
This is also the case of the famous wheeler tuning Wheels Boutique, which have recently fitted this gorgeous BMW i8 with the high-performance HRE P101 wheels, finished in the same blue trim, which perfectly complements the overall body style. And that would be just all, the model being left untouched at the body as well as under the hood.
As a reminder, the BMW i8 has been already priced in the US, the base entry level costing $136,500, without adding the $950 destination fee. Along with the prices, the model is also available in exquisite colors, such as the Protonic Blue, Crystal White, Sophisto Grey as well as the Protonic Blue.
Under the hood, the BMW i8 is packing the engine awarded I3 1.5-liter turbo, backed by a synchronous motor, developing an overall 357 horsepower and 570 Nm of torque. The hybrid powertrain is also hooked to a lithium-ion battery, which provides a 35 km mile range, at a topping of 120 km/h. Wheels Boutique has also released a photo session with their latest creation. Enjoy!
