BMW i8 Riding on Vossen Wheels
BMW i8 has recently won the 2015 Engine of the Year Award, an important catch for the carmaker`s first plug-in hybrid model, the one which also inspired other hot rides in using the hybrid technology for better fuel efficiency and a more environmentally friendly ecosystem.
But this didn’t stop a lot of aftermarkets shops to use the BMW i8 for their own will and purpose, customizing the hot model with a lot of aftermarket body style goodies and a set of hot new wheels. It is also the case of the one and only Vossen Wheels, one of the best shops in wheeling industry, which recently added a set of customized wheels to this BMW i8.
We are talking about the fitting of the Vossen Forged VPS-309 wheels, which come with lightweight properties and great stance on the road. Overall, the BM i8 looks splashing, along with the now reduced ride height, thanks to the new lowering springs installed.
As expected, there were no mods carried out under the hood, where the BMW i8 plug-in hybrid is still making use of the same 1.5-liter conventional turbocharged inline three-cylinder unit, backed by an electric motor.
The overall power stands an amazing 357 horsepower and 570 Nm of torque, which makes it run from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.4 seconds. More than that, the BMW i8 is also fuel-efficient, coming with just 2.1 L/100 km, while the CO2 emissions stand at only 4.9 g/km.
