As opposed to its predecessor, the new 2016 BMW X1 will look different, the model dropping some body elements, like the long flat hood, which has been replaced with a more rounded nose, resembling the one seen on the 2-Series Active Tourer.
Other than that, the upcoming X1 will also come with a more aggressive front fascia, larger kidney grille with new and elongated headlights, a more sculpted hood, Air Breathers on both sides, wider air intakes, while at the back, the 2016 BMW X1 will come with the L-shaped taillights and LED strips, which is a characteristic of the latest BMW models.
Concerning the drivetrain, the 2016 BMW X1 will have sport a front-wheel drive platform, while an xDrive X1 will also become available. This means that the new model will come with a lot of space inside. Speaking of lot of space in the cabin, BMW will also launch a stretched wheelbase in China. Unfortunately, we do not have any performance details, but we should be able to find out more in the period to come! Enjoy the spy video with the upcoming 2016 F48 BMW X1!
