BMW M2 Spy Shots on Nurburgring, Video Launched
The BMW German based carmaker is heavily testing the upcoming BMW M2, as a test mule of the sports car has been already spotted on the tracks at Nurburgring. The spy shots as well as a video were provided by the guys from Auto Gespot and are previewing the car`s handling and driving aerodynamics at high speeds.
The upcoming BMW M2 will still keep its mean and aggressive looks, meaning that the model will come with wide air intakes, LED headlights and taillights, as well as a restyled bumper. To keep it agile and fast on the roads, the M2 will also underpin lightweight materials, as well as the M side vents.
In terms of performance, the BMW M2 will borrow some important characteristics from its older siblings, the M3 Sedan and M4 Coupe, like the high-performance suspension system and rear differential. Under the hood, the BMW M2 will be powered with the N55 Twin Power 3.0-liter unit, which has now been updated to produce an impressive 360 horsepower. The engine will be hooked to a DCT gearbox, given the fact that the model was seen last month with shifting paddles.
The detail lists is still kept safe, but more will be known in the period to come. But what we also know, and not from official sources, is that the model will be sold in around 11,000 units worldwide, with prices under $50,000 in the United States. Until the fresh info, enjoy the video with the new M2, stay tuned and keep on reading our latest BMW news!
