2016 BMW 328e Plug-in Hybrid Shot Down

Auto Gespot has provided us with a handful of spy shots with the latest edition from BMW 3-Series, the long expected 328e plug-in hybrid, while performing some tests at the Nurburgring, before being launched on the US market at the beginning of 2016.

This is not the only model being caught while undergoing tests, as the German premium carkamer is planning to introduce some new editions on the market, like the new 7-Series, the M2, as well as the updated 3-Series sedan.

The 2016 BMW 328e plug-in hybrid will be coming with some important elements concerning the car`s powertrain and fuel efficiency on the road, setting new standards in terms of safety at the same time. The plug-in hybrid will thus come with the Real Time Traffic Information, a safety system which allows the car to detect and prevent any unexpected road and traffic situations.

Concerning the powertrain, the 2016 BMW 328e plug-in hybrid will use a gasoline unit, fitted with four cylinders and backed by an electric motor at the rear, which output an overall of 245 horsepower and 400 Nm of torque.

Apart from the impressive torque, the 2016 BMW 328e plug-in hybrid will also come cheap in terms of fuel, as this stands at a combined consumption of just 2.1 liters for every 100 kilometers.
