2016 BMW M2 Caught at Nurburgring
The upcoming BMW M2 model was recently caught on shots while performing some tests at Nurburgring, which is a clear indication that it will be launched in 2015 as the 2016 model.
The spied 2016 BMW M2 was not wearing any camouflage this time, a great opportunity for us to reveal some sections that have been modified for improved aerodynamic performance.
At the front bumper, we can see the usual M air intakes, while at the rear back, the M4 prototype reveals the M-style twin exhaust pipes.
Surely we can also see the resemblance of the M2 with the M3 model, was the cross-drilled rotors and the brake calipers reveal the real performance of a genuine M2.
Under the hood, the BMW M2 will bear the codename N55B30T0, rumored to sport the same 3.0-liter inline six-cylinder unit, developing 380 horsepower.
In terms of performance, the BMW M2 is announced to compete its siblings, the M3 Sedan and the M4 Coupe or Cabrio versions.
