2014 BMW M4 DTM Race Car Ready for the Tracks
The German car series DTM is now proud to welcome the racing version of BMW`s M4, namely the M4 DTM race car.
With this good news, all BMW teams which are now competing in the DTM will be receiving the new bodystyle for the 2014 season, while the M3 currently running on the tracks will be pulled over.

The 2014 BMW M4 DTM has a carbon fiber monocoque chassis with integrated fuel tank and steel roll cage. The front and the back of the super car also bears carbon fiber crash structures.
Meanwhile, the wheels wear 18-inch forged aluminum with light-alloy brake clippers and ventilated steel discs.

Under the hood, the M4 DTM race car is equipped with a naturally aspired V8, 4.0-liter engine, developing around 480 horsepower and 368 pound-feet of torque.
The power comes to the rear wheels due to a six-speed sequential gearbox with pneumatic shift paddles on the steering wheel.

Jens Marquardt, the chief at BMW Motorsport says that the racing company is looking forward to put the BMW M4 DTM on the tracks, as the race car “looks fantastic” with great impressions to be made at the track tests.
