BMW M235i and 228i Official Debut at Detroit 2014
The German Bimmer is making debut after debut at the 2014 Detroit Auto Show. After launching the all-expected BMW M3 and BMW M4, other two brothers are completing the BMW`s exclusivity on the market.
We are talking about the fresh BMW M235i and 228i making their way on the show. Since they were launched together, we will try to resume some specs that both German natives wild horses are bringing.
The M235i comes with its sporty 3.0-liter inline six-cylinder turbo engine, developing 322 horsepower and 332 lb-ft, covering the whole 60 miles per hour in around 5.0 seconds, And that with a manual transmission

Its fellow 228i is equipped with a 2.0-liter N20 inline with four-cylinder turbo engine, throttling 240 horsepower and around 258 lb-ft of torque. It goes from 0 to 60 miles per hour in 5.4 seconds.

The M235i is highlighted by both an 8-speed automatic standard, with launch control transmission and a usual 6-speed manual, with dry sump lubrication and a short throw shifter.

Meanwhile, its little brother 228i handles a 6-manual transmission or also an 8-sport automatic.

Both models will be launched in the US in March. Just enjoy the pictures!

I am BMW fan but it seems like the Bavarian house has become a master of replica!! the series 2,3 and 4 from 2.0 to 3.5 litres have the same boring exterior (especially the rear bumpers). It is very annoying!! And the interior is no difference, the steering wheel is the same, dashboard is the same and everything is just round round the circle. What I have noticed is that the Bavarians are more concerned with the front aero-dynamics and styling but the drag force generated by that ugly rear bumper is enormous thus poor execution. I simply just hate the rear bumper. To order an aero-dynamic rear bumper, I checked the other day, is ridiculously expensive. What the hell??!!
When a car drives passing by it is the tail that is always seen. people are like there it goes!!! It’s a 328i…. not is that a 2 series or 3 series. Make every series evidently unique. Sorry to compare but AMG has the front and the rear spot on!!! Bavarian house pull up the socks!! We love the Bimmer and please do better with the rear!!
