Spy Photos: 2012 BMW X6 facelift prototype
The Germans from BMW started testing the facelift version of the current X6, a model which is basically the 2012 model year X6. As a revised model, the German crossover receives some aesthetic tweaks, even the prototype wears almost no camouflage. In fact, the main changes suffered by the model are the front and rear optical blocks. At the front, the 2012 BMW X6 will sport the well-known “angel eyes” along with daytime running LED lights.

In the rear, BMW also prepared new optical blocks as you can see in the spy shots. For now, these seem to be all the improvements prepared for the X6 facelift but expect to see more changes and obviously more camouflage on the next prototypes.

Under the bonnet, BMW will introduce the tri-turbo 3.0-liter unit as well, an engine able to develop around 400 horsepower. These are the first photos revealing the 2012 BMW X6 facelift, therefore, expect more photos with better-equipped prototypes in the coming weeks.

Few days ago we also had the opportunity to see the 2014 BMW M3 spied for the first time.
