The new BMW M3 to get a revised engine range
We have got some new details about the next-generation BMW M3, information coming from a BMW insider which confirmed few changes in the model’s engine range along other interesting details. To being with, it seems that the new M3 will adopt a new six-cylinder engine able to return a better fuel economy while dropping the current 4.0-liter V8 engine unit. We talk about a 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged engine which is currently under development.

Even the new six-cylinder unit undergoes the downsizing process, the engine could deliver even more power than the current 4.0-liter V8 rated at 414 horses.
According to the rumors, the new 3.0-liter unit which seems to be a completely new engine benefiting from new pistons, cylinder head and management system, could develop around 450 horses.

The same source inside the German company claimed that the next-gen BMW M3 will arrive in the UK somewhere in 2014, the man referring to the Coupe model. However, we should not take all these details for granted as the Germans released no official information in this regard.
