2017 BMW 5-Series New Spy Shots Revealed

The 2017 BMW 5-Series is ending up in our news again in a batch of fresh spy shots revealed by Motor1.com, the model getting ready for an official debut at the 2017 Paris Motor Show, this October.

At a closer look, we might depict the same mule seen on tests at the beginning of the week, the camouflage hiding the final production body. However, the rear end reveals some extremely interesting exhaust tips with trapezoidal shape, which would be a first on a BMW model.

As we already know, the 2017 BMW 5-Series will stand on the BMW`s latest CLAR platform, the same one seen on the 7-Series. This translates in a 200 pound weight loss and improve space inside the cabin. This will also make room for more powerful mills.

Speaking about performance, the all-new 5-Series might carry over some upgraded mills from the 7-Series, which would be put underneath the 530e or the 540 plug-in hybrid. The lineup`s top of the line M4 would also receive an xDrive all-wheel configuration, once it will appear on the market in 2018.

BMW is planning to build 50,000 to 70,000 units every year, with production to begin next year, at the company`s plant in Magna Steyr in Graz, Austria.
