Less-Camouflaged 2019 BMW 3-Series Touring Pops-Up in New Spy Shots, Might Be Revealed at 2019 Geneva Motor Show
Following a series of leaked images with the brand-new 2019 BMW 3-Series Touring last month, the model in question has been seen again on the streets in the back of a trailer, perhaps getting ready for a new round of tests.
As we can depict from the new spy photos, the test mule has lost main of its camouflage, leaving instead the rear end covered, which might indicate some additional changes. That means that BMW is making the final preparations before its unveiling at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show, next March.
Once emerged on the market, it will tackle the likes of the new Audi A4 Avant, Volvo V60 or Mercedes C-Class Estate. The model is also set to become by far the most appealing and sportier touring in the segment, far more beautiful than the aforementioned models.
Speaking of beauty and sporty looks, the way it looks in the spy photos, it will surely become such car. It will be bigger and wider than the previous generation and will follow the carmaker`s new design philosophy. Looking quite similar with the bigger 5-Series Touring, the 3-Series station wagon distinguishes itself with the more appealing headlights and taillights.
Mechanically, the new 3-Series Touring will be more technologically-advanced than the previous model, coming with better handling and driving capabilities, a series of new safety gizmos and accompanied by a wide and powerful suite of engines under the hood.
The cabin will borrow the suite of technology also available on the new 5- and 8-Series models, including the company`s newest infotainment system, digital instrument cluster, along with driving assistance systems, high-quality materials and much more.
As for engine lineup, the 2019 BMW 3-Series Touring will carry over some of the G20`s configurations, adding some new ones. We should thus be able to see both high-performance petrol burners and diesels, with four- and six-cylinder configurations. We should mention here the 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder with two power choices – 181 HP and 254 HP, respectively, along with its six-cylinder counterpart, with 382 horsepower. On the diesel side, there will be a 2.0-liter turbo pot with 148 HP and 187 HP, followed by a 3.0-liter engine with 261 HP.
Expect for full details to emerge in the upcoming period, meanwhile, enjoy the spy photos released by CarPix for CarScoops!
