BMW M4 DTM Champion Edition Breaks Cover
The gorgeous and outstanding BMW M4 is back into the spotlights again, this time the model getting a special edition which celebrates Marco Wittmann`s 2016 DTM championship title, the model being called the DTM Champion Edition.
We are looking here at a limited edition of just 200 units, each one available in Germany from 148,500 euros. This wouldn`t be the first DTM Champion Edition limited run dediacted to Marco Wittmann, the carmaker also releasing a limited run back in 2014, with the same occassion.
As we can depict from the impressive photo gallery below, the BMW M4 DTM Champion Edition doesn’t disappoint from a visual standpoint, the racer coming with the gorgeous Alpine White body wrap, complemented with the M`s distinctive livery and a choice of three colours.
As for the styling elements, the BMW M4 DTM Champion Edition stands out from the crowd with new front bumper with distinctive canards, wider front splitter, side skirts add-ons, carbon fiber wing mirrors, towering rear wing and custom rear diffuser. The new aero kit is highlighted by the new alloy wheels finished in matte grey and looking extraordinary with the carbon ceramic brakes.
Inside, the cabin is also tweaked with sporty features, including the M carbon fiber bucket seats with Alcantara and merino leather, M sports steering wheel, white rollover bar replacing the rear seats and other high-end trims surrounding the interior.
Under the hood, the BMW M4 DTM Champion Edition features the stock 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged six-cylinder with the water injection system borrowed from the hardcore BMW M4 GTS. This means a power output as well as opposed to the standard M4.
We are looking here at an impressive 493 horsepower and whopping 600 Nm of torque, getting thus closer to the M4 GTS. The sprint from 0 to 100 km is done in 3.8 seconds, at a top speed which is electronically limited at 305 km/h.
