Japan: BMW Blows 100 Candles with Limited i3 Carbonight

BMW is celebrating 100 years of existence on the market and we have already paid our tribute to the world`s largest and most important automaker, by reviewing 100 exquisite and most important facts.

And for that matter, BMW is preparing the event by launching a limited i3 edition in Japan alone. The special BMW i3 is called “Carbonight” and will be soon available in just 40 units.

As we can depict from the handful of pictures, the BMW i3 Carbonights is standing out from the crowd with the Fluid Black exterior paint with blue accents on the kidney grille and side skirts. Additional special features refer to LED headlights, tinted rear windows as well as the 20-inch alloy wheels.

Inside, the cabin is showing off with the Loft theme, heated front seats, special badging, high-end Harman Kardon audio system with 12 speakers, seven-channel surround, optional carbon fiber case for smartphone, wireless home speaker and a few more.

The carmaker has not announced any modifications under the hood, the BMW i3 Carbonight coming with the same electric motor, which outputs 170 horsepower and 250 Nm of torque.

In Japan, the BMW i3 Carbonight costs 5,980,000 or the equivalent of around $55,000.
