2017 BMW 5-Series Caught on Shots

It seems that the BMW German based premium carmaker is working on the new-gen BMW 5-Series, as the model in questions was recently caught on shots by spy photographers from Inautonews online auto magazine, just when the model was carrying out some tests on snowy roads.

We are talking about a test mule with the future BMW 5-Series, which will be revealed in 2016, as the 2017 model. The camouflage wrapping the body might come with some interesting design choices, so expect the final version to be a little different than this one.

But what we have here is a body style with carbon fiber reinforced material, with a different layout of the A-post, with new handles on the door, sharp horizontal edge at the front and rear side doors, front wings with air breather and a few more tweaks.

Under the hood, the future BMW 5-Series will come with a completely new engine lineup, the model also receiving the 1.5-liter three-cylinder engine, followed by a hybrid version. This will make the model less heavy, which will eventually lead to improve stability, handling and a far better fuel efficiency. More details will be revealed perhaps later on, when the carmaker will officially announce its presence on the market.
