The 2016 BMW X1 has been recently caught on shots by spy photographers from Inautonews.com online publication, while undergoing some road tests.
The 2016 BMW X1 has been long rumored and now, the spy shots with the model wearing some heavy camouflage, are the real proof that the German based carmaker is finally getting ready to launch the model somewhere next year.

As seen in the shots, the 2016 BMW X1 will come with a lot of interesting body style features, like a sloping roofline, plastic body cladding, a more standout front grille, as well as a new dual exhaust system.

In terms of performance, the upcoming BMW X1 will be standing on the company`s new UKL platform, also seen on other BMWs and might be fitted with a wide array of engines, that also equip the 2-Series Active Tourer.

The 2016 BMW X1 would feature the 1.5-liter three-cylinder, as well as the higher 2.0-liter TwinPower four-cylinder diesel unit, developing between 150 horsepower and 184 horsepower.
