New-Gen BMW X6 Confirmed for Production Line
It is now official news that the BMW German based automaker will start the production of the new-gen X6, at the company`s plant in Spartanburg, South Carolina, United States.
The first X6 to enter production will be the Sophisto Gray xDrive35i, which will tweak a lot of goodies, especially black leather inside, being aimed for the Chinese market.
The president and CEO of BMW Manfred Erlacher, stated that the BMW X6 is a special symbol for the Spartanburg plant, as it has just turned 20 years of history production.
“The bold, new look of the second-generation X6 is a welcome addition to the plant’s X-model lineup”, Erlacher concluded.
The first-generation BMW X6 had astonishing sales, with almost 265,000 units to be sold around the world, as it is considered to be one of the most successful models of the company.
The next-generation BMW X6 will be mainly built in South Carolina, with distributions to be made worldwide, starting with 2016.
