The BMW German based luxury automaker has finally launched the 2-Series Active Tourer in Australia, where the model will become available from 44,400 AUD.

The BMW 2-Series Active Tourer is the company`s first wheel-drive model, coming now on the hot continent, from 44,400 AUD, being thus more expensive than the Mercedes-Benz B-Class B180.

For that money, you will be getting the 280i Sport Line version, being powered by a 1.5-liter three-cylinder turbocharged unit, developing 100 kW and 220 Nm of torque, between 1,250 and 4,300 rpm.

The unit meets the Euro 6 emission standards, having an average fuel consumption of 5.2L / 100 km, also coming with 122 g/km of CO2.

You can also get the larger 2.0-liter turbocharged unit, developing 110 kW and 330 Nm of torque, with 4.2L every 100 km and emitting 111 g/km of CO2.

The BMW 2-Series Active Tourer will also be launched with the top of the line model, which is the 225i Luxury Line, available at 54,900 AUD.

The version comes with a 2.0-liter turbo petrol unit, developing 170 kW and 350 Nm of torque.
