Upcoming BMW 7-Series LWB Caught on Shots
The upcoming BMW 7-Series LWB was caught on camera while undergoing some tests in camouflage, the model promising to come with a new body style and a long wheelbase.
The BMW is currently working on a long wheelbase 7-Series model, which will seemingly come with a new body style, being aimed to compete against the new Mercedes-Benz S-Class.
The next-gen BMW 7-Series LWB caught here on camera in the United States, will be probably launched in 2016, but until then, the company must ensure that everything is in the right place with the model.
The fresh BMW 7-Series LWB is said to come with a mixt platform, including aluminum, steel and carbon fiber, which would make the model easier with around 600 pounds, unlike the present model which is based on a steel monocoque structure.
Under the hood, the new BMW 7-Series LWB will be coming with a fresh six-cylinder inline diesel burner, alongside a new plug-in hybrid system, being put on a 2.0-liter four-cylinder petrol unit.
The model will be also coming with a higher hybrid, sporting a 3.0-liter six-cylinder and hooked at the new 9-speed automatic transmission.
