BMW ahead Mercedes-Benz in the US on the Luxury Segment

The BMW is yet again the leader in the US on the luxury segment, managing to bit up Mercedes-Benz, as it had record sales in June.

The BMW luxury automaker is strengthening its position as the leader on the luxury market, having a 12 percent increase in the US, increase which was possible due to the huge selling of the 5-Series sedan, with around 7,940 units to be delivered.

Its main competitor, the Mercedes-Benz luxury automaker managed to sell 26,505 units in June, with only an 8 percent increase, a positioned insured by the E-Class sedan, with 6,500 units.

With these numbers ahead, the BMW carmaker is maintaining its leading position for the first half of the year, managing to sell 157,382 units in the US alone, while the Mercedes-Benz automaker sold 151,624 vehicles.

As for the other carmakers taking their share on the luxury segment, we are talking about Lexus, the Toyota`s subsidiary, which scored a 10 percent increase in June, with a total of 23,518 to be sold.

Audi carmaker also managed to increase its sales in the US, up to 23 percent in June, with 16,867 units sold in the last month alone.
