BMW M4 Coupe DTM safety car breaks cover
The Germans at BMW decided to reveal the DTM safety car based on the M4 Coupe. The new BMW M4 Coupe DTM safety car comes with a series of tweaks such as new carbon fiber front splitter, revised side skirts, a new rear diffuser and spoiler and a black front grille.
Larger alloy wheels are also offered as well as a titanium exhaust, emergency lights and the usual DTM livery.
Power is offered by the stock 3.0-liter six-cylinder unit producing 431 horsepower and 550 Nm of torque for a 0-100 km/h sprint in 4,1 seconds.
“Having decided to start the 2014 DTM season with a new challenger, in the form of the BMW M4 DTM, it was a logical step to have BMW M GmbH put together a BMW M4 Coupe DTM Safety Car,” says the company.
Inside, the special model got carbon fiber trim, Recaro racing seats, a special race communication system, roll cage and Schroth harnesses.
