BMW will fit SIM cards in their vehicles come July

Technology has quickly advanced towards a point where connectivity is almost mandatory at any time of the day.

BMW is one such brand, and it will provide the market with what it needs by a series of features on their vehicles. Among them, a built-in SIM card will be installed in BMWs as a standard feature starting in July. There is also the option to access BMW’s ConnectedDrive Store from either your car or home PC.

A safety features that takes advantage of the connectivity is the Intelligent Emergency Call system, which will call 911 automatically in case of an accident.

BMW also offers online entertainment with a huge database and even a new browser. All this will surely count towards the car maker’s chances of retaining the title of world’s leading provider of online-based in-car services.
