
All-new 2014 BMW X5 in the spotlight
The new F15 BMW X5 officially breaks cover today after first shots with the company’s SUV surfaced on the Web yesterday.
In terms of styling, the revised BMW X5 benefits from new front and rear bumpers, LED adaptive lights, a reworked front grille and larger air intakes. Inside, there will be extra room for the passengers, a total boot space of 1,870 liters, Poplar Grain wood trim, sport seats as optional and LED ambient lighting.

The base model available at launch will be the xDrive50i, powered by a 4.4-liter V8 engine producing 450 horsepower and 650Nm of torque. Accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h takes 5 seconds with a top speed of 250 km/h.

The second engine available at launch will be the 3.0-liter TwinPower Turbo diesel with 258hp and 560Nm of torque. It will be available on the BMW X5 xDrive30d making the 0-100 km/h sprint possible in 6,9 seconds. Last but not least, the BMW X5 M50d comes with a 3.0-liter unit offering 381hp and a 0-100 km/h time of 5,3 seconds.

The new BMW X5 will hit the European market starting this winter with other markets to get the new model in 2014.
