BMW K1300S
BMW K1300S is a motorcycle manufactured by BMW Motorrad introduced back in 2009 especially for the U.S. market. The German bike is powered by a 1.3-liter straight-four engine able to deliver 175 horsepower at 9,250 rpm and 140 Nm of torque at 8,250. The four-stroke DOHC unit has four valves per cylinder and benefits from a water cooling system.
According to the manufacturer, the BMW K1300S returns a fuel economy of 4,7 liters/100km and has a weight of 228 kilograms.
The front brakes benefit from a pair of 320 mm discs with four-piston calipers while the rear brakes come with 265mm discs with two-piston caliper. Other features of the German motorcycle include ASC (Anti-Spin Control), traction control, Quickshift system, anti-lock brakes and also the ESA (Electronic Suspension Adjustment) system.
“The designers of the BMW K1300S were very clear about their aims: even more power, even more performance,” concludes the company.
BMW guarantees a top speed of 250 km/h for the K1300S while the 1/4-mile sprint is achieved in exactly 10,46 seconds. At the launch date, BMW priced the K1300S at $15,250 but the top-of-the-range version is slightly expensive, the price tag spinning around $17,500.
