All-new G30 BMW 5-Series Teased with LED Tailights
The all-new and long-expected G30 BMW 5-Series is slowly but surely heading to its final unveiling, but the carmaker is preparing a big entrance for this exquisite model.
A couple of days ago, BMW wanted to show the progress it has made so far and invited media representatives to take a closer look at the 5-Series, the test mule wearing less camouflage and revealing most of its important body styling parts.
Now, the model is ending up in the news again, this time in a teaser video that highlights the car`s LED taillights. We are dealing here with a one-minute video which also previews the car`s new rear end, with the main highlight on the LED taillights, which now come with a more flowing design.
As already known, BMW is preparing the 5-Series for a final debut at the 2016 Paris Motor Show, next month, the model standing on the company`s new CLAR platform and shedding off around 100 kg, utilizing carbon fiber and high-strength steel.
Thus, the model will get closer the all-new 7-Series model, with rather the same technology inside, like autonomous driving technology with different functions, gesture control, and so on.
In the engine department, the G30 BMW 5-Series will utilize a wide array of engines, with four- and six-cylinder configurations. For instance, the 2.0-liter flat-four will come as standard, adding the 3.0-liter straight-six diesels and petrol burners. The lineup is also adding a hybrid model as well as a much more potent 4.4-liter V8 turbo.
