2017 BMW 5-Series – New Rendering Launched
After being caught on shots at Nurburgring performing some track tests a couple of weeks ago, the 2017 BMW 5-Series is popping-up in our news again, this time the model being showcased in a rendering revealed by Top Speed.
The rendering with the 2017 BMW 5-Series is meant to show us a closer look on the model, which reveals an innovative and evolutionary design, with some updates carried out at the front fascia and rear overhang. The rendering is also based on the spy shots with the upcoming 5-Series.
The 2017 BMW 5-Series is that it will be manufactured entirely from lightweight components, which is the politics concerning the 35up platform, meaning the fitting of the carbon fiber, and aluminum components, the same that are used on the BMW i3 and BMW i8.
Under the hood, the 2017 BMW 5-Series is expected to come with a wide array of turbocharged four-, six- as well as eight-cylinder engines, equipped with direct-injection technology. And as expected, a plug-in hybrid version will also emerge in 2016.
The 5-Series` range topping M5, is also rumored to be powered by a 4.4-liter V8 twin turbo unit, developing 626 horsepower, while the xDrive plug-in hybrid will output a good 313 horsepower and 450 Nm of torque. We should expect fresh news next summer, when the 2017 BMW 5-Series will hit the market.
