BMW i3 Sales High, Outruns Tesla by Far
The rivalry between the BMW i3 and Tesla has reached its final peak for now, as the German manufacturer managed to improve its sales, reaching 70% on the fourth month, in the United States.
InsideEVs has launched the final reports, stating that the BMW i3 was sold in 1,025 units in August, while the Tesla only managed a reasonable 600 vehicles.

This would be third months in a row which indicates the BMW`s increased sales, with the company`s inventory to rise to more than 2,000 units in August.
The news is backed up by the BMW Financial Services, which has also launched the support program that will help the carmaker transport its units off the inventory.
On the other side, Tesla was shifting its marketing plans for the summer 2014, by focusing on the Asian market, where the carmaker seemed to have done pretty good, compared to its sales in the US.
Moreover, due to poor sale in August, the situation forced Tesla to shut down its Fremont factory for two weeks, a reason for the company to also prepare the upcoming Model X and to expand the Model S`s production by 25%.

And BTW the I3 nor the I8 are a match for the Model S. They are hybrids still burning petrol. The I3 is ugly like hell and the I8 has no room. Also remember that for Tesla deliveries are not equal to sales.
